Ignorant American

At dinner with some people (a Chinese-Canadian, a Korean-Japanese and Korean-American) last night:

Chinese-Canadian: My sister is supposed to send me a box of Canadian junk food!
Deb: Oh, like what?
Chinese-Canadian: bags of pickle flavored potato chips, ketchup potato chips, Spits, [etc., etc.]
Deb: omg, Canada has their own junk food?? I always thought they just imported American junk food.

Seriously though - who knew Canada had their own junk food? And how come they don't go global (like American brands such as Lays, etc.)? I'd like to try me some pickle flavored potato chips.
