Matalin & Carville - how does that work?

Mary Matalin, political strategist and advisor to the Republican Party, assistant to George W., counselor to Dick Cheney, and strategist for George W.H.'s re-election campaign. James Carville, political consultant to the Democratic Party and lead strategist in Bill Clinton's campaign (and win) against George W.H. They've been married for 15 years.

Seriously, how the hell does that relationship work? It's one thing to have polar opposite political views - but to have that be your job and livelihood as well? To have your loss be your spouse's win, and vice versa.

Mary: Honey, I don't have a job anymore because George W.H. didn't win. And I can't believe this country is going to be run by a smarmy guy like Bill Clinton.
James: Well that's too bad. But I just got Bill Clinton elected! In yo' face!
