I visited D in the hospital today. He put on a smiling face for us but his wife noted that he was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I really admire their strength and positive attitude through this entire thing.
In my own life recently, things have been not good. It's all so complicated and sad that I don't really know how to begin or process. All I know is that life and love are both so fragile. You must handle both with great care. All you can do is do the best you can, but sometimes that may not be enough.
