Redemption Friday

Easter Sunday is celebrated with pastel colors, flowers, bunny rabbits and elaborate brunches - and while the resurrection of Jesus is indeed miraculous and something to be celebrated - I wonder why we don't celebrate good Friday as a much bigger deal. Seems to me like it's the most meaningful day in the history of the universe - the day that once and for all, we were forgiven and redeemed by Jesus. What a beautiful day, the day that God showed us just how much he loves us.

The scandal of Grace, you died in my place that my soul will live.
